With the move to South Australia along came a new name for Wesswood, WhistleJackets, this name was taken by our 99 visit to the London Art Gallery, where we purchased the print of "WhistleJacket " the thoroughbred legendry race horse. Wesswood was a partnership and when dissolved the new name was chosen.

            

The 3 times National Galloway winner and undefeated Galloway for 3 years including all Royals HOTYs EA and SHC and Grand Nationals and Crane Trophy, Pure Caste was the basis of  starting Wesswood Stud, being foundered in 1992. Picked up off the track in Port Lincoln and Shown by Chris and Vicki Lawrie, (Cindy as they affectionatley called her) did SA showing proud. Gracing in all magazines for her reign in the showing world Cindy was retired after her last win, " National " Galloway of the year in 1993.  Pure Castes progeny and grandchildren are coming up through the showing ranks and her most outstanding offspring to date is the Exported 15h Black Galloway " Wesswood Caste A Spell"  UK Winter Ponies, Supreme of Show" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXGKvR1DiFc More on him in another link.  Pure Caste is now retired after playing watchful mother in her final chapter to ET babies all bred by Wesswoods' Julie and Malc Klante WA who are currently showing the Beautiful mare WWs SuperCaste.

 

          

WhistleJackets runs a small stud breeding Galloways and is excited to say we finally have a beautiful broodmare band and a new colt to outcross but still the WJ breeding. Always striving to improve and a passion to continue.We believe in keeping a type which is not straying too far from within, keeping the conformation and quality and consistancy from good breeding mares and then keeping the fillies to go on to be the broodmares for WJ. We pride ourselves with selecting good TB mares also. Breeding a type takes generations to establish, an ultimate goal for the breeder. Occasional stock for sale. Accommodation for visitors available...

On the very tranquil undulating tree studded 80acre property, just on the outskirts of Clare, The WhistleJackets property and surrounds, is host to some amazing wild life......summer time the bearded dragons hang off the fence post, basking in the sun, showing off some brightly yellow colours, and spring brings the calls and screeches of many different types of parrots, including the beautiful Rosella, Kookaburras Maggies and the white owls huddle in a family group on low branches hunting in the night and possums are actively tree climbing and scooting across roads, then late winter brings groups of deer, a sight worth seeing every time and never tire of it. The Kangaroos have their territories and a family of 7 graze most mornings outside with Joey's in their pouches. The young bucks playing and kicking at each other and foxes bouncing through the grass catching insects. Watching the beautiful sunsets going down from the open living room and sunrises from the main lounge, makes one feel how lucky we are to be here with such amazing nature on the back doorstep.....Whistlejackets is owned and Managed by the Dudleys, Kym Tanya Brittney Cruise and Rivah and before departing Aaron Tyson who all made it possible.
